About the Friends of the Bicycle Museum

Join the Friends of the Bicycle Museum.

The "Friends...." was begun because many of the visitors we have had to the Museum wanted to be kept up-to-date with the latest news of what's happening and to keep in touch with others who love collecting and restoring old bicycles. It gives them a chance to become involved in some of the museum's projects.

We will continue with our "Friends" meetings on the second Wednesday of the month, over morning tea at the storeroom. The new Research Room is heated, so during the winter months, some sorting out of magazines and books can be done. Members with expertise in cataloguing and library skills especially needed. Members who can operate a photocopying machine needed to copy articles. (we have the machine).

Some of our "Friends" are willing to be the contact person regarding special bikes. For example, if you have a Carbine, then contact Chris Daly. He holds the names and records of whereabouts of other Carbines. These Marque Enthusiasts would like to hear from you.
